Acadèmia Socio Culturâl
Acadèmia Socio Cultural has produced documentaries, drama documen- taries and had a part of the production of a short story film. (The company name was Dalecarlia Film & Art until 2008). The first production was "Drug War - the war against drugs" 1995, which was shown in the Swedish Televison (SVT) a couple of times. The follow-up production was called The way out and was shown 1 year later. The next project included two documentaries and the focus was the relation between young people and democracy. The fifth production was the drama documentary about the old film centre in Råsunda, Stockholm. The name of the film is "Strutsägg och Legender", which could be translated to "Ostrich eggs and Myths", referring to the past activities in the enriching area. This production was shown a couple of times in SVT. The dramatized parts was played by Sara Sommerfeld and Gerhard Hobersdorfer. DFA was also involved in the short story film "Augustitango" with Johan Widerberg in the main role. Director was Lennart Svensson.
Between 2000-2008 Acadèmia Socio Cultural has been involved in different social projects in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy and Russia. In common these projects have program/structure for parental support and programmes for child-ren and youth. In Finland this program has been disseminated to a major parts of the communities. As in Finland, the Swedish Government has implemented parts of the program to the national recommendations. In Denmark the interest for the programme is increasing.
In Russia ASC, on behalf of the University of Stockholm and SIDA, has established the program EPM - Empowered Parenthood Model - as a base for parent support in 11 regions. The primary aim has been to remove the focus from "risk focus" with very late and repressive actions to "very early focus" with parent support from the beginning of the pregnancy. The result of the work in Russia has been for example the creation and the establishment of Family Centres. The first FC's was established in Volgograd in 2007 but today a range of FC's have seen the daylight. The focus of the FC's is early and preventive work from pregnancy and through the growth of the child.
The other important issue in Russia has been - and still is - to strengthen the role of the father. This has, for instance, resulted in daddy clubs, programs with daddy coaches etc.
In South Italy, Basilicata, ASC has established a platform for cooperation and conferences. Our conferences are tailored to the south Italian countryside, food and culture. The focus is health for body and soul, which means health support from our personal trainer, workshops in health, art, local culture, food and wine.
